Add a clean, modern edge to any interior space with our Gray Slat Wood Panels. Unlike our wood-grain veneer finishes, the Gray features a solid color, ultra-smooth finish — a consistent medium gray that reads contemporary, calm, and refined. No grain variation, no warm or cool undertones fighting each other — just a clean, neutral gray that works effortlessly with modern interiors, minimalist design, and spaces built around a cooler, more controlled palette.
Constructed from solid wood with a solid-color veneer finish, each plank features 7 thin, low-profile slats in the Sleek design — subtle ridges that add a quiet 3D texture and shadow line effect to an otherwise smooth surface. The result is a wall that feels architectural and intentional without any visual noise.
Order a sample first. Gray reads very differently in warm vs. cool light — seeing Gray in your actual space before ordering full boxes will save you from a mismatch.
Solid Color. Ultra-Smooth Finish.
Gray is the only solid-color option in our 7-grid wood panel lineup. Where our other finishes showcase natural wood grain and veneer variation, Gray delivers a uniform, paint-like surface — consistent from plank to plank with no grain to manage. This makes it ideal for spaces where you want a precise, controlled look rather than the natural variation of wood grain. It's the contemporary choice.
The Gray Difference
Gray is a medium gray — not so light it reads as white, not so dark it feels heavy. It's the gray that works. It pairs naturally with white and off-white walls, black and charcoal accents, concrete and stone finishes, and polished metal hardware. Because it's a solid color rather than a wood grain, it doesn't compete visually with patterned textiles or busy decor — it anchors the room and lets everything else breathe. Perfect for:
Sleek 7-Grid Design
The Sleek profile features 7 slim slats per plank with thin, low-profile ridges (9.5mm wide). On a solid-color finish like Gray, the slat shadow lines are the entire visual story — clean geometry, subtle depth, pure architectural texture. The result is a wall that looks like it was designed by someone who knew exactly what they were doing.
Installation
These panels are designed for glue-down installation — clean, straightforward, and DIY-friendly.
Interior use only. These are solid wood panels engineered for interior walls and ceilings — they are not rated for outdoor or moisture-heavy environments.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Gray different from the other 7-grid colors?
Gray is the only solid-color finish in our 7-grid lineup. Our other colors (Light Brown, Dark Chestnut, Light Oak, Unfinished) feature natural wood grain veneer with visible grain variation. Gray uses an ultra-smooth solid-color finish — consistent, uniform, and paint-like. If you want a gray wood-grain look instead, see our other panel collections.
Are these panels for interior or exterior use?
Interior only. These are real wood panels and are not designed for outdoor environments, high-moisture areas, or direct weather exposure. For exterior applications, see our WPC Composite Exterior Slat Wall Panels.
How do I install these panels?
Glue-down installation using construction adhesive (Liquid Nails or equivalent). Apply adhesive to the back of each plank, press firmly against the wall, and hold until set. Panels can also be installed on a batten system for uneven walls.
Can I install them vertically?
Yes — these panels can be installed horizontally or vertically. Horizontal installation emphasizes width; vertical installation emphasizes height. Both orientations look strong with the Gray solid-color finish.
Can I cut the panels to fit?
Yes. Use a miter saw, circular saw, or jigsaw with a fine-tooth blade. The wood cuts cleanly and cut edges are easy to work with.
Do these panels help with sound?
Yes — wood naturally absorbs sound and reduces echo and reverberation. These panels will improve the acoustics of a room. For maximum sound absorption, see our Acoustic Slat Wall Panels, which include dedicated acoustic felt backing.
What is the minimum order for 106" panels?
15 boxes minimum. For large commercial projects, contact us for custom pricing: media@youshouldhaveit.com or (858) 261-4068.

Yes — free shipping on all orders within the contiguous United States, shipped from our San Diego, CA warehouse.

Yes — 10926 Woodside Ave Suite A, Santee, CA 92071. Open Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. In-store discounted pricing available.
