American Oak Flexible Acoustic Wall Panels, Soundproofing 94 or 106 x 41 — 1 Panel per Box

American Oak Finish. Recycled Acoustic Felt Backing. Flexible for Curved Walls and Ceilings.

The American Oak Flexible Acoustic Wall Panels bring a warm, classic wood tone and genuine sound absorption together in one flexible panel that bends around curved surfaces, archways, and barrel ceilings without cutting or special framing. American Oak is one of the most versatile and timeless finishes available — a warm, medium-toned wood with natural grain variation that works across a wide range of interior styles, from traditional to contemporary. At 41" wide, each panel covers up to 30.3 square feet, giving you more wall coverage per panel than any comparable product in this category.

Available in 94.5" for standard ceiling heights or 106" for taller spaces with fewer visible seams. One panel per box.

Order a sample first to confirm the tone works in your space. The finish reads differently under different lighting — seeing it in person before ordering full boxes is always the right call.

Built to Improve Your Space — Acoustically and Aesthetically

These panels solve two problems at once: sound quality and interior design. The high-density recycled acoustic felt backing absorbs sound reflections, reduces echo and reverberation, and helps contain noise within a room. The warm American Oak finish creates a natural, inviting surface that brings life and warmth to any interior without the weight of a darker tone. The wide 41" format means faster installation and fewer vertical seams compared to narrower acoustic panels.

  • Reduces echo and reverberation — improves speech intelligibility and audio quality
  • Contains noise within a room — increases privacy in offices, studios, and meeting spaces
  • Slatted geometry diffracts sound waves for improved acoustic performance
  • Acoustic felt backing produced from recycled material

American Oak on Acoustic Felt

American Oak is the most classic and universally versatile finish in the acoustic panel category. Its warm, honeyed tone with natural grain variation sits squarely in the middle of the spectrum — lighter than walnut, warmer than cold oak, more neutral than maple. That balance is exactly what makes it work in so many spaces: it adds warmth without dominating a room, pairs with virtually every palette, and reads as naturally inviting whether installed in a living room, a boardroom, or a hotel lobby. On acoustic felt backing, the grain and slat profile create a layered surface with depth and texture. The flexible construction means it can cover curved walls, columns, and barrel ceilings with the same clean result as a flat-wall installation.

Installation

Installation is straightforward and requires only basic tools. Panels can be installed four ways:

  • Glue-down: Apply construction adhesive directly to the back of the panel and press firmly to the wall surface. Clean, fastener-free finish; ideal for smooth drywall or plywood substrates.
  • Screw-down: Drive screws directly through the panel into the wall or ceiling framing. Fast and secure; screws can be concealed in the slat grooves.
  • Staple: Works well for ceiling applications and lightweight installations.
  • Batten mount: Install horizontal wood battens on the wall first, then screw panels to the battens for a raised installation with air gap behind the panel.

Panels can be installed horizontally or vertically, and cut to any shape with a standard saw or utility knife. For walls taller than your chosen panel length, stack panels and offset the seams on each row by half a panel — the result mimics a classic hardwood flooring H-pattern and is virtually seamless. The acoustic felt backing has enough flexibility to conform to gently curved walls and barrel ceilings without scoring or special framing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does the American Oak finish look like?

A: American Oak is a warm, medium-toned wood with natural grain variation — lighter than walnut, warmer than cold oak, and more neutral than maple. It is one of the most classic and versatile wood tones available, working across a wide range of interior styles from traditional to contemporary. Order a sample to see the finish in your space before committing to full panels.

Q: How flexible are these panels?

A: The acoustic felt backing allows the panel to flex gradually around curved walls, columns, archways, and barrel ceilings. They handle standard architectural curves comfortably. For very tight radii, test a sample panel first to confirm it conforms without stress.

Q: Can these panels be installed on a ceiling?

A: Yes. They are commonly used on flat ceilings and sloped or barrel-vaulted ceilings. For ceiling installations, screw or batten mount is recommended — drive fasteners into solid framing. Glue-down alone is not recommended overhead.

Q: Do these panels actually reduce noise?

A: Yes. The high-density acoustic felt backing absorbs sound reflections, reduces echo and reverberation, and helps contain noise within a room. The slatted face also diffracts sound waves, adding to the panel’s overall acoustic performance.

Q: What are the slats made of?

A: The slats are eco-friendly MDF (medium-density fiberboard) with an American Oak laminated finish, mounted on high-density recycled acoustic felt backing.

Q: How much does each box cover?

A: Each box contains 1 panel. The 94.5" panel covers ~26.9 sq ft per box; the 106" panel covers ~30.3 sq ft per box. Add 10% for cuts and waste when estimating your total order.

Q: Is there a minimum order?

A: The 106" length has a 15-box minimum order. The 94.5" length has no minimum — order as many boxes as your project requires. A sample swatch is available for $2.99 before committing to a full order.

Q: Can I order a sample first?

A: Yes — a sample swatch is available for $2.99 so you can check the finish in your space before placing a full order.

Q: Can these be cut to size on site?

A: Yes. The panels cut cleanly with a sharp utility knife, jigsaw, or circular saw with a fine-tooth blade. Score and snap works well for straight cuts across the panel width.

Q: What is the difference between the 94.5" and 106" lengths?

A: Both panels are identical in finish, width, and acoustic performance. The 94.5" panel fits standard 8’ ceiling heights. The 106" panel is designed for taller spaces and means fewer seams when stacking. Note: 15-box minimum applies to the 106" length.

Q: Where do these ship from and how fast?

A: All panels ship from our warehouse in San Diego, CA. In-stock orders are dispatched same day or next business day. Free shipping is included on all contiguous US orders.

Q: Are the materials eco-friendly?

A: Yes. The acoustic felt backing is made from recycled material and the MDF core is eco-friendly. The panels are VOC-compliant for interior use.

Q: Is free shipping included?

A: Yes — free shipping within the contiguous United States.

Q: Do you have a showroom?

A: Yes — 10926 Woodside Ave Suite A, Santee, CA 92071. Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm.
