Clear Polycarbonate Corrugated Curved Roof Panels – Transparent Sheets

Clear Polycarbonate Corrugated Curved Roof Panels – Transparent Sheets

Maximum light. Full weather protection. No tinting, no shade — just a clean, fully transparent roof that lets natural sunlight pour through while keeping rain, wind, and debris out. Our Clear Polycarbonate Corrugated Curved Roof Panels are the go-to choice for greenhouses, covered patios where brightness matters, carports, pergola roofs, and any structure where you want to feel like you're outside without actually being exposed to the elements.

Unlike our Gray and Smoke Gray tinted panels, Clear transmits the full visible light spectrum — nothing is filtered, dimmed, or toned. The space underneath stays bright and airy in a way that no tinted panel can replicate. If plants are involved, Clear is often the only correct choice.

Clear Is Not the Same as Frosted — This Panel Is Fully Transparent

Clear polycarbonate panels are optically transparent — you can see straight through them. The corrugated profile creates some visual texture from the side, but overhead, the view through the panel is essentially unobstructed. This has practical implications:

  • Plants directly underneath receive full-spectrum natural sunlight — ideal for greenhouses and garden shelters
  • The covered space reads as bright and open, not shaded or cave-like
  • Color rendering underneath is accurate — no gray or brown cast from tinting
  • Dirt and debris on the panel surface are more visible than on tinted panels — occasional rinsing keeps them looking clean

Choose Clear When Light Is the Priority

Every tint level serves a different purpose. Here's how Clear compares to our other options:

  • Clear (this product) — fully transparent, maximum light transmission, no shade. Best for greenhouses, bright patios, garden shelters, and any application where natural light is the primary goal
  • Gray — light tint, translucent, soft diffused light with a hint of shade. Best for covered outdoor living areas where some shade is welcome
  • Smoke Gray — deeper tint, more privacy, significant glare and heat reduction. Best for sun-facing structures, hot climates, or spaces where privacy and shade are priorities

If you need brightness, choose Clear. If you need shade, choose Gray or Smoke Gray.

Built for Outdoor Performance

Clear doesn't mean fragile. These panels are engineered from high-quality polycarbonate with a UV-resistant coating that protects both the panel and the space underneath from harmful UV degradation.

  • UV-resistant coating prevents yellowing and brittleness over time — polycarbonate without UV protection turns yellow within a few years; ours doesn't
  • Impact-resistant — polycarbonate is significantly stronger than glass or acrylic at the same thickness
  • Handles heavy rain, hail, and snow load without cracking or warping
  • Temperature stable across extreme conditions — won't distort in summer heat or become brittle in cold
  • Low maintenance — rinse clean with water and a soft cloth; no sealing, painting, or treating required

Curved Wave Corrugated Profile

The wave (curved) corrugated profile is the most widely used and familiar roofing panel shape. Smooth, rounded ridges create a classic ripple pattern that sheds water efficiently, distributes load evenly across the panel, and installs cleanly with standard corrugated roofing hardware. The rounded profile is also more forgiving to cut and trim than sharper trapezoid profiles — making it the natural choice for DIY builds, greenhouse construction, and any project where ease of installation matters. On clear panels especially, the wave profile creates a beautiful light-play effect as sunlight refracts through the ridges.

  • Classic wave profile — easy to align, overlap, and cut to fit
  • Efficient water drainage — curved ridges channel rain cleanly to gutters
  • Compatible with standard corrugated roofing screws and purlin spacing
  • Panels overlap cleanly at each ridge for a watertight side seal
  • More forgiving to trim than trapezoid — ideal for DIY and custom-fit projects

Installation

  • Lay panels over purlins (horizontal support beams) spaced per your roofing plan
  • Overlap panels by one full wave ridge at each side joint for a watertight connection
  • Fasten with polycarbonate roofing screws with EPDM washers — drive through the crown (top) of each wave ridge, never through the valley
  • Pre-drill holes slightly larger than the screw shaft to allow for thermal expansion
  • Overlap end-to-end by a minimum of 6"–8" on panels running along the slope
  • Cut panels to length with a circular saw and fine-tooth blade or tin snips
  • Seal cut edges with aluminum closure strips or butyl tape to prevent debris and insect entry

Exterior use only. These panels are engineered for outdoor roofing and siding applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will these panels yellow over time?
No — as long as you choose panels with a UV-resistant coating, which ours have. Standard polycarbonate without UV protection yellows within a few years of outdoor exposure. Our panels maintain their clarity under normal outdoor conditions.

Are clear panels hotter underneath than tinted panels?
Yes — clear panels allow more solar heat gain than tinted options. In hot climates or on sun-facing structures, tinted panels (Gray or Smoke Gray) will keep the space cooler. If heat buildup is a concern for your application, consider our Gray or Smoke Gray panels instead.

Can I mix Clear and tinted panels on the same roof?
Yes — some installations use clear panels in certain sections for light and tinted panels in others for shade. Just ensure the profile and dimensions match across the roof for clean overlaps and alignment.

What fasteners do I use?
Use polycarbonate or metal roofing screws with EPDM rubber washers. Always drive fasteners through the crown (top) of each wave ridge — never through the valley. Pre-drill holes slightly larger than the screw shaft to allow for thermal expansion.

How much should I overlap the panels?
Overlap side-by-side panels by one full wave ridge. Overlap end-to-end panels (along the slope) by a minimum of 6"–8", or more on lower-pitched roofs. Apply butyl tape or sealant at overlaps for a watertight seal on low-slope applications.

Can I cut these panels to size?
Yes. Use a circular saw with a fine-tooth blade, or tin snips for shorter cuts. Seal cut edges with aluminum closure strips or butyl tape to prevent debris and insects from entering the corrugated channels.

What is the minimum order?
10 panels minimum. For large commercial projects, contact us for custom pricing: media@youshouldhaveit.com or (858) 261-4068.

Is free shipping included?
Yes — free shipping on all orders within the contiguous United States, shipped from our San Diego, CA warehouse.

Yes — 10926 Woodside Ave Suite A, Santee, CA 92071. Open Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. In-store discounted pricing available.
