Trapezoid Corrugated Profile
The trapezoid profile is the structurally strongest of the corrugated roofing profiles. Flat-topped ridges with angled sides create a rigid, interlocking surface that distributes load evenly, sheds water efficiently, and connects cleanly to standard roofing purlin systems. For shade structures especially — where the roof may span wide without interior supports — the trapezoid profile's superior rigidity means fewer purlins and less sag under load.

Installation
- Lay panels over purlins (horizontal support beams) spaced per your roofing plan
- Overlap panels by one full trapezoid ridge at each side joint for a watertight connection
- Fasten with polycarbonate roofing screws with EPDM washers — drive through the flat (top) of the trapezoid ridge, never the valley
- Pre-drill holes slightly larger than the screw shaft to allow for thermal expansion
- Overlap end-to-end by a minimum of 6"–8" on panels running along the slope
- Cut panels to length with a circular saw and fine-tooth blade or tin snips
- Seal cut edges with aluminum closure strips or butyl tape to prevent debris and insect entry

How dark is Smoke Gray — can I still see through it?
Smoke Gray is a deep tint — darker than our Gray panels, but not fully opaque. You can see through it, but the visibility is significantly reduced compared to Clear or Gray. The space underneath receives diffused natural light, not full bright daylight.
How much cooler will it be under Smoke Gray vs. Clear panels?

Use polycarbonate or metal roofing screws with EPDM rubber washers. Always drive fasteners through the flat top of the trapezoid ridge — never through the valley. Pre-drill holes slightly larger than the screw shaft to allow for thermal expansion.
How much should I overlap the panels?
Overlap side-by-side panels by one full trapezoid ridge. Overlap end-to-end panels (along the slope) by a minimum of 6"–8", or more on lower-pitched roofs. Apply butyl tape or sealant at overlaps for a watertight seal on low-slope applications.
Can I cut these panels to size?
